Obituary for Christian (Chris) Hodgson
Mr. Christian (Chris) Hodgson, 63, of Liberty, Illinois, passed away at 1:15 p.m. Monday, October 27, 2014, in his home. He was born February 15, 1951, in Pittsfield, Illinois, to John H. & Georgia Adaline (Staffy) Hodgson. They preceded him in death. He is survived by 3 sons - Darin Hodgson, wife Angel of Roodhouse, Illinois; William Joseph Hodgson of Roodhouse, Illinois; and Franklin J. Hodgson, wife Susan R. of Roodhouse, Illinois; 1 daughter - Misty Pruitt of Jerseyville, Illinois; and 7 grandchildren. Also surviving are 4 brothers - Larry Hodgson, wife Brenda of Liberty, Illinois; Jerry Hodgson, wife Agatha of Shilo, Illinois; John Hodgson of Liberty, Illinois; and Gary Hodgson, wife Sally of Liberty, Illinois; and 3 sisters - Helen Waters-Fiddler, husband Robert of Winston Salem, North Carolina; Pam Warning, husband Roger of Liberty, Illinois; and Terry Harmon, husband Pete of LaGrange, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents. Chris was an Air Force veteran and later worked at Speed Rack in Quincy as a welder and forklift driver. He then worked as maintenance man on his brothers hog farm. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. - noon Sunday, November 2, 2014, at the Kirgan Funeral Home in Barry. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 2, 2014, at the Kingston Cemetery, Kingston, Illinois. Burial will be in Kingston Cemetery, Kingston, Illinois. Memorials are suggested to the Family.
