Obituary for Frank J. Madarasz
Mr. Frank J. Madarasz, 95, of rural Barry, Illinois, passed away at 6:55 a.m. Wednesday, February 24, 2016, at Regency Nursing Home in Springfield, Illinois.

He was born December 4, 1920, in Divernon, Illinois, to John & Mary (Roko) Madarasz. They preceded him in death.

He married Martha L. Alfs on November 16, 1943, in Peoria, Illinois. She preceded him in death on February 25, 2009.

He is survived by numerous nieces & nephews.

In addition to his parents and his wife he was preceded by 4 sisters and 2 brothers.

Frank lived in Pike County most of his life and farmed. He and his wife had been very active members of the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Barry. He served in the Army during W.W. II and received two purple heart awards.

Visitation will be from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 4, 2016, at the Kirgan Funeral Home in Barry.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 4, 2016, at the Kirgan Funeral Home in Barry.

Burial will be in Shearer Cemetery in New Canton, Illinois.

Memorials are suggested to the Barry American Legion Post #222.
