Mr. George R. Ford, 75, of Barry, IL, passed away Saturday, December 11, 2021, in his home.
He was born March 7, 1946, in Pittsfield, IL, to Truman & Edna (Rigg) Ford. They preceded him in death.
George is survived by 1 sister, Mrs. David (Ada) Bowen, of Quincy, IL, 1 niece Laura Lynn Deppmeier, of Johnsburg, IL, 1 nephew Keith Truman Bowen, of Quincy, IL, his beloved dog Teddy, and several close cousins.
George farmed all of his life. He loved sports, especially Cardinal baseball. He was well known and liked by his many neighbors and friends.
There is no visitation.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at Park Lawn Cemetery in Barry.
Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery in Barry.
Memorials are suggested to Pike County Animal Shelter.
Kirgan Funeral Home in Barry is in charge of arrangements.
