Mr. Gilbert S. Elliott, 78, of Baylis, Illinois, passed away at 8:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 23, 2014, in his home. He was born April 23, 1936, in Louisiana, Missouri, to Ruby Elliott. She preceded him in death. He is survived by 3 sons: Marvin Elliott of Elsberry, Missouri; Gilbert Elliott, Jr. of Baylis, Illinois; and Joe Elliott of Louisiana, Missouri; and 1 daughter, Ruby Harrison,of Baylis, Illinois. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. In addition to his mother he is also preceded in death by a son, Chester Elliott and a sister, Jeanna Austin. Private family services will be held later.
