Obituary for Glenn D. Kibler
Mr. Glenn D. Kibler, 87, of the Illinois Veterans Home in Quincy, formerly of Ursa, passed away at 11:54 a.m. Thursday, October 1, 2015, at Blessing Hospital Emergency Room in Quincy. He was born April 16, 1928, in Barry, to Fred & Pearl (Myers) Kibler. They preceded him in death. He married Raeola Hoskin on March 14, 1953, in Quincy, Illinois. She preceded him in death on March 23, 2007. He is survived by 1 sister, Marcella Nichol of Ursa, 1 brother, Thomas Kibler of Quincy, 1 sister-in-law, Margaret Kibler of Wentzville, Missouri, 4 nieces, Lawana Chapman of Ursa, Carolene Keller of Fowler, Sherry Cerrano of Wentzville, Missouri, and Rhonda Adams of Hannibal, Missouri, several great nieces & nephews as well as great great nieces & nephews and 1 great great great nephew. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Earl (Bud) Kibler, Bert Kibler and Dallas Kibler and a nephew, Dallas Lynn Kibler. Glenn worked as a supervisor for Motorola in Quincy for many years and later E. L. Smith Compressor. He retired from Landon Manufacturing. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War serving at the rank of Corporal. Visitation will be from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 6, 2015, at the Kirgan Funeral Home in Barry. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 6, 2015, at the Kirgan Funeral Home in Barry. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery, Barry. Memorials are suggested to the Barry American Legion Flag Fund.
