Obituary for Hugh ( Dale ) Hoskins
Mr. Hugh (Dale) Hoskins, 92, of New Canton, Illinois, passed away at 4:05 p.m. Sunday, July 15, 2012, at Bickford Cottage Assisted Living in Quincy. He was born February 21, 1920, in New Canton, to Hugh Hardin & Edith (Allensworth) Hoskins. They preceded him in death. He is survived by 2 daughters - Gaye Lynn Ormond of Quincy and Vicki Hoskins of Amman, Jordan. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren: Randy Woodward II & his wife Guyla of Hull, Illinois; Aaron Farnsworth of the state of Indiana; Rachele Snellgrobe of Versailles, Kentucky; and Jami and Joseph Sakkizha both of Amman, Jordan; and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 1 sister, Eileen Fisher. Dale was a 32nd degree Mason and served 4 years in the Army Air Corp. intelligence during W.W. II. He received many letters of commendation. Dale was a life long farmer in the New Canton area with many innovations. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 20, 2012, in the Kirgan Funeral Home in Barry. There is no visitation. Burial will be in Morey Cemetery, New Canton, Illinois. Memorials are suggested to the Blessing Foundation for Hospice.
