Obituary for Jeannie M. Lewis
Mrs. Jeannie M. Lewis, 62, of Barry, passed away at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 19, 2017, as the result of an auto accident East of Barry.
Born June 29, 1954, in Teaneck, N. J., she was a daughter of John & Genette (Cook) Purvis. Her father preceded her in death in 1989. Her mother survives in Oradell, N. J.
She married Arthur Wade Lewis on September 1, 1984, in Iowa. He preceded her in death on June 27, 2007.
In addition to her Mother she is survived by 2 step sons, David King of Melbourne, Ark. and Wyatt King of Las Cruces, N. M.; 1 step daughter Judy Hayes of Apple Valley, Minn.; 2 sisters, Beth Purvis of Bergenfield, N. J. and Annette Hartman and her husband Bob of Oradell, N. J.; 2 nephews, Jonathan & Matthew Hartman; 1 niece Kimberly Hartman; a great nephew Logan Hartman and a great niece Julianna Hartman.
Jeannie had been an over the road truck driver with her late husband Wade. They drove for Gully Transportation and later had their own trucking company.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 25, 2017, at Park Lawn Cemetery in Barry.
Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery in Barry.
