Obituary for Jerri R. Woods
Mrs. Jerri R. Woods, 54, of Baylis, IL, passed away Friday, February 10, 2023, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
She was born September 20, 1968, in Pittsfield, IL, to Gerald & Opal (Bainter) Reel. They preceded her in death.
She married Merle Woods on September 22, 1991, at the Barry United Methodist Church in Barry. They were married for 31 years and Merle survives in Baylis.
In addition to her husband Merle she is also survived by 5 children, Andy Woods (wife Tiara), of Barry, Jeremy Woods (Ambrosia Morlang), of Payson, Molly Woods, of Baylis, Lori Woods (Aidan Koeller), of Pittsfield, and Tori Woods (Brian Lashbrook), of New Salem, 3 grandchildren, Pyper, Maddox & Layla Woods, 1 brother Wayne Sutton (wife Terry), of Baylis, 4 sisters, Gracie Churchill, of Barry, Joyce Jackson, of St. Charles, MO, Cheryl Weinant, of Chattam, and Kimberly Dodd, (husband Robert), of Lewistown, MO, sister-in-law Marsha Woods, of Barry, and several nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Bobbie Sue Woods, in infancy, her in-laws Dale & Virginia Woods, brothers-in-law, Roger Woods, Clinton Woods & Roger Weinant.
Jerri was a graduate of Griggsville High School and she was a member of the Detroit Methodist Church.
She was active in FFA as an advisor, 4-H, was a girl scout leader and she showed sheep at fairs. Jerri worked at Lowe's in Hannibal and at Domestics in the Quincy Mall.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at the Kirgan Funeral Home in Barry.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at the Kirgan Funeral Home in Barry.
Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery in Barry.
Memorials are suggested to the Barry United Methodist Church.
