Obituary for Larry L. ( Snake ) Kendall
Mr. Larry L. (Snake) Kendall, 70, of Barry, Illinois, passed away at 2:10 a.m. Saturday, December 24, 2011, in his home. He was born on December 30, 1940, in Quincy, Illinois, to Earl L. (Chick) & Betty Lou (Dolbeare) Kendall. His mother survives in Barry. He married Lois Faye Stockwell on September 13, 1966, in Joliet, Illinois. She preceded him in death on April 30, 2008. He is survived by his mother, Betty L. Kendall of Barry; 1 daughter, Kim Garner (Rusty) of Brownsburg, Indiana; 3 sons - Brian Kendall (Wanda) of Barry; Kevin Kendall (Carrie Wyatt) of Lake Charles, Louisiana; and Larry Kendall (Michelle), of Barry; 16 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He is also suvived by 1 brother, Bruce Kendall & wife Jean, of Barry and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, his wife and an infant daughter, Tonya Lou. Larry worked for 37 years for Transwood Inc. & Bulk Carriers as mechanic, field maintenance director & district manager. Larry enjoyed Nascar and building his own cars. He was especially fond of time with his grandkids & family. He served on the board of Taylor-Martin Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2011, at the Kirgan Funeral Home in Barry. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2011, at the Kirgan Funeral Home in Barry. Burial will be in Taylor-Martin Cemetery in El Dara.
