Mr. Leslie Stolte, 91, of Barry, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2021, in the ER of Illini Community Hospital in Pittsfield, Illinois.
He was born April 20, 1929, in Spencer Switch, Pike County, Illinois, to Russell & Mary Esther (Wilson) Stolte. They preceded him in death.
He married Mary Darline Claus on March 13, 1958, in Barry, Illinois. She preceded him in death on December 19, 1970.
He married Janet C. Burkett June 5, 1976, in Barry, Illinois. She preceded him in death on October 4, 2020.
He is survived by 3 daughters, Judy Schwanke, husband John, of Hull, IL, Alicia Delabar, husband Eric, of Chesterfield, MO, and Sherry Fee, husband David, of Barry, IL, 2 sons, Herk Stolte, wife Naomi, of Beaumont, TX, and Tim Milby, wife Cindy, of Riverview, FL, 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter, his twin brother Lester Stolte, of Barry, IL, and 1 sister Marilyn Speckhart, of Quincy, IL.
In addition to his parents and his wife he is also preceded in death by 1 son Wayne Stolte who died at birth on December 16, 1970, 1 brother Donald & 2 sisters, Dorothy Koeller and Doris Wiess.
Leslie farmed all of his life and enjoyed gardening as well as keeping bees and raising many kinds of game birds. He was an Air Force Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the American Legion.
There is no visitation.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 15, 2021, at Kinderhook Cemetery in Kinderhook.
Burial will be in Kinderhook Cemetery, Kinderhook, Illinois.
Memorials are suggested to the Hull Methodist Church.
