Obituary for Linda Carol Fesler
Linda Fesler, 78, of Kinderhook, IL, died at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, 2020, at her home in Kinderhook. Linda was born December 17, 1941 at Hannibal, Mo, to Don W. and Mabel Dinning Rickey.
Linda Graduated in 1959 from West Pike High School at Kinderhook. She married Roger Fesler July 22, 1960, in Quincy, IL and followed her Marine husband to Camp Pendleton, near Oceanside, CA. Following Roger's discharge, they returned to Kinderhook for the next 60 years of marriage. Linda loved to do counted cross-stitch and created many dozens of beautiful designs. One of her favorites was "The Last Supper". Linda also enjoyed many sporting events to watch Roger, her four children and then grandchildren participate. She loved family activities. Having a house full of family were some of her happiest times!
She became a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1968. She was employed by Levering Hospital in Hannibal, Barry Clinic and Barry Nursing Home.
Linda was a member of Hull United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband Roger, son Rick (Elaine) Fesler of Quincy, daughter Gina (Ted) Dunker of Kinderhook, daughter Shawna (Myron Smith) Fesler of Hull and son Ryan "Tony" (Darla) Fesler of Kinderhook. Linda is also survived by twelve Grandchildren and thirteen Great-Grandchildren. Linda is also survived by a "sister" Donna J. Koeller of New Canton, nephew David Rickey of Quincy and sister-in-law Martha Fesler of Quincy. Linda also leaves behind her beloved poodle, "Bear".
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Don Rickey, Jr. and Charles M. Rickey, Grandson Christopher Charles Schafer, Great-Granddaughter Payten Nicole Fesler, Brother-in-law Richard Fesler and Sister-in-law Marian Rickey.
Graveside services will be held at Kinderhook Cemetery, Kinderhook, IL, Saturday, May 9, 2020, at 11:00 a.m.
Memorials may be made to Kinderhook Cemetery.
