Obituary for Mr. William R. " Will " Fee
Mr. William R. (Will) Fee, 83, of Barry, Illinois, passed away at 3:50 p.m. Friday, November 1, 2013, at the Barry Community Care Center in Barry. He was born August 21, 1930, in Hadley Township, Pike County, Illinois, to Zane & Nina (Fitch) Fee. They preceded him in death. He married Eleanor Y. Phillips, on September 16, 1951, in New Canton, Illinois. She survives in Barry. He is also survived by 1 son, David Fee & wife Sherry of Barry, Illinois; and 2 daughters, Jo Lynn Fee of Mascoutah, Illinois and Cynthia Fetherol of Lake City, Florida; 8 grandsons, 1 granddaughter and 4 great grandsons. Also surviving are 1 brother, Richard Fee of Plainfield, Illinois and 1 sister, Helen Hampsmire of Barry, Illinois. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Edwin Fee and Don Fee and 1 sister, Marilene Schmidt. Will served 3 years with the Army stationed in Germany during the Korean War. He earned a bachelors degree from Western Illinois University and later his masters at Northern Illinois University. He taught high school for 35 years as well as coaching track, baseball, basketball and golf. His passions were golfing and traveling. Will was also a Golden Gloves Boxing champ in the Welterweight class. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 Monday, November 4, 2013, at the Kirgan Funeral Home in Barry. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 5, 2013, at the Kirgan Funeral Home in Barry. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery, Barry, Illinois. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheiner's Association or St. Judes Hospital.
