Obituary for Mrs. Lucille Irene Heckelsmiller
Mrs. Lucille Irene Heckelsmiller, 80, of Barry, pased away at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 2013, in her home. She was born June 1, 1932, in Ralls County, Missouri, to Hamilton & Emma Gustave (Thompson) Berry. They preceded her in death. She married Robert G. Heckelsmiller, on October 27, 1951, in Quincy, Illinois. He preceded her in death on August 28, 1990. She is survived by 2 daughters - Sharon Lynn Swank of Barry and Karen Ann Stephens of Petersburg, Illinois; and 2 sons - Robert G. Heckelsmiller, Jr. of Maywood, Missouri and Gary LeRoy Heckelsmiller of Barry. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers - Bill Berry, George Berry and Bing Berry and 2 sisters, Effie Little and Opal Quinn. Lucille was a homemaker who enjoyed quilting, crochet work, baking and playing cards. She loved having company and making them part of her family. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at the Kirgan Funeral Home in Barry. Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at the Kirgan Funeral Home in Barry. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery in Quincy, Illinois. Memorials are suggested to the Barry Food Pantry.
