Obituary for Myrtle R. Hart
Mrs. Myrtle R. Hart, 89, of Barry, IL, passed away Sunday, October 8, 2023, at Barry Health Care Senior Living in Barry.
She was born March 4, 1934, in Barry, IL, to Otis & Ina (Woosley) Oitker.
She married Carl E. Hart on May 27, 1955, in Barry, IL. He preceded her in death on June 26, 2005.
She is survived by 2 sons, Mark Hart, of Barry, IL, and Jeff Hart, wife Tera, of Barry, IL., 1 daughter Janet Lagemann, fiance Brian Weber, of Lake Ozark, MO, 3 grandchildren, Shelbi Summers, of Milton, IL, Ethan Hart, fiancee Kaitlyn Roberts, of Barry, IL, and Caleb Hart, of Barry, IL, and 2 great grandchildren, Joslynn Moore and Jaydenn Moore, both of Milton, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and 3 brothers, Clifford (Bud) Oitker, Lewis A. (Babe) Oitker and Richard (Ike) Oitker.
Myrtle was a homemaker and was a member of the Barry First Christian Church. Before she was married Myrtle worked for Motorola in Quincy. She had worked at Crumps Grocery Store, Ogles Grocery Store and the Apple Basket. Her favorite past time was spending her time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 12, 2023, at Park Lawn Cemetery, Barry, IL.
Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery, Barry, IL.
Memorials are suggested to the Barry fire Department or Park Lawn Cemetery.
Kirgan Funeral Home in Barry is in charge of arrangements.
