Obituary for Naomi Ruth Best
Mrs. Naomi Ruth Best, 87, of Hannibal, MO, formerly of Kinderhook, IL, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2024, in Hannibal, MO.
She was born April 3, 1937, in East St. Louis, IL, to William & Opal (Young) Brown.
She married Crockett (Charlie) Best on November 20, 1954, in St. Louis, MO. He preceded her in death on December 4, 1991.
She is survived by 4 sons, Dennis Best, William Best, Darrel Best and Michael Best, 2 daughters, Janella Slater and Tracy Hetteberg, 17 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren, 7 brothers, Nicky Brown, Daniel Brown, Russell Brown, Tom Brown, Leonard Brown, Jerry Brown and William Brown, and 1 sister Cathy Batchelor.
In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister.
Visitation will be from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 6, 2024, at the Kirgan Funeral Home in Barry.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 7, 2024, at the Kirgan Funeral Home in Barry.
Burial will be in Kinderhook Cemetery, Kinderhook, IL.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
