Mrs. Pauline Barker, 94, of the Barry Community Care Center in Barry, formerly of Quincy/Payson area, passed away at 5:10 a.m. Sunday, October 23, 2016, at the Barry Community Care Center in Barry.
She was born February 16, 1922, near Rushville, Illinois, to Grover & Mary Frances (Morrell) Cleveland. They preceded her in death.
She married George Russell Barker on January 9, 1940, in Palmyra, Missouri. He preceded her in death on December 9, 1971.
She is survived by 3 daughters, Nadine Myers of Barry, Illinois; Frances Smith of Daytona, Ohio & Reba Bainter, husband Walter, of Barry, Illinois; and 2 sons, Ralph Barker, wife Karen, of Euless, Texas and Russell Barker, wife Cindy, of Canton, Missouri.
She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 12 step great grandchildren; and 1 sister Addie Ruth Butler, of Pekin, Illinois.
In addition to her parents and her husband she was preceded in death by 1 sister Ilene Grafton, 1 brother Robert Morrell and 1 step granddaughter.
Pauline was a member of the Quincy First Southern Baptist Church. She devoted her life to being a wife and mother. In her spare time she enjoyed quilting, embroidery and reading.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 29, 2016, at the Kirgan Funeral Home in Barry.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 29, 2016, at the Kirgan Funeral Home in Barry.
Burial will be in Payson New Cemetery in Payson.
Memorials are suggested to the Quincy First Southern Baptist Church in Quincy.
