Obituary for Reta E. Rigg
Mrs. Reta E. Rigg, 94, of Barry, passed away at 4:40 a.m. Monday, January 28, 2013, at the Barry Community Care Center in Barry. She was born June 27, 1918, in Adams County at the Meyers old homestead near Kingston, a daughter of Jesse & Lorle (Meyers) Mellon. They preceded her in death. She married Vaden E. Rigg on June 28, 1942 in Hannibal, Missouri. He preceded her in death on December 24, 1973. She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Brenda Spilker of Liberty; 1 granddaughter, Kimberly Predmore of Liberty; 4 great grandchildren, Dylan, Macy & Dalton Allen and Jered Predmore; and several nieces & nephews as well as cousins. She was preceded in death by 1 son, Elvin Rigg and 1 grandson, Bradley Rigg. Mrs. Rigg was a member of the Kingston United Methodist Church formerly of rural Liberty. She attended Akers School near Kingston. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. til 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 30, 2013, at the Kirgan Funeral Home in Barry. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 30, 2013, at the Kirgan Funeral Home in Barry. Entombment will be in the Kingston Park Cemetery Mausoleum, Kingston, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the Kingston Park United Methodist Church or the Kingston Park Cemetery.
