Obituary for Ronald "Ron" Dale Crossman
Mr. Ronald "Ron" Dale Crossman, 52, of New Canton, Illinois, formerly of Nebo, passed away Monday, November 27, 2017, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy.
He was born June 3, 1965, in Pittsfield, Illinois, to Carolyn June Butler and Gerald Dean Crossman of Nebo.
He is survived by 3 children, Lindsay Crossman (Buck Bergheger) of Plainville, IL., Ashley Crossman (Mike Stroemer) of Atlas, IL., and Aaron Crossman (Kristen) of New Canton, IL.; 2 step children, Klayton and Kobie Miller of New Canton, IL.; 2 sisters, Jessica Crossman (Brenton Kilzer) of Pittsfield, IL. and Rachel (Daniel) Scranton of Lebanon, IN.; 4 Aunts, Brigitte (Shawn) Meyer of New Canton, IL., Pam (Joe) McCulloch of Griggsville, IL., Patrice (Ronnie) Adrain of Pittsfield, IL. and Joyce Anne of Kansas City, MO.; Step-Father Ron Kirby of New Canton, IL.; 2 step-sisters, Jody Rennecker of Baylis, IL. and Julie Mason of Barry IL.; 1 grandmother Bertha Crossman of Kansas City, MO.; and 7 grandchildren, Baylee, Darren, Quinton, Emma, Braylyn, Zayn and Esme.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, Kyle & Mary Crossman of Nebo and Hubert and Norma June Butler of Pleasant Hill, and his brother Robert Russell Crossman.
Ron was a regular guy, he loved his family, cars, women and the outdoors. He would always brag about all the big deer he killed. He spent his early years with his Dad on the farm. He then worked for Scranton logging for many years until his retirement.
Visitation will be from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 1, 2017, at the Kirgan Funeral Home in Barry.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 1, 2017, at the Kirgan Funeral Home in Barry.
Burial will be in Nebo Cemetery, Nebo, Illinois.
Pallbearers will be Doug Johns, Sam Davis, Steve Shaw, Jon Turnbaugh, & Shawn Norton. Honorary Pallbearers
will be Carl McCleery, Glyn Scranton, Sr., Ben Moyer and Lyndell Schnepf.
