Obituary for Edna R. Campbell
Mrs. Edna R. Campbell, 92, of Barry, passed away at 7:55 a.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2014, at the Barry Community Care Center in Barry. She was born October 13, 1922, in Kirby, Missouri, to John & Jenette (Hendricks) Tanner. She married Orin Chandler Campbell on August 1, 1949, in Barry, Illinois. He preceded her in death on April 5, 1974. She is survived by 2 sons - Orin Martin Campbell & wife Penny of Barry and Frank Campbell & wife Janet of Louisiana, Missouri; and 4 daughters - Betty Hillstrom of St. Charles, Illinois; Barbara Gore of Pittsfield, Illinois; Carol Cimolino & husband Marc of Snohomish, Washington; and Rosemary Dittmer & huband Mike of Quincy, Illinois. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, 20 great great grandchildren and 1 sister, Rose Helton of Wetumpka, Alabama. She was preceded in death by 1 son, John Campbell, 2 sons-in-law, 1 daughter-in-law, 1 great granddaughter and 2 step sisters. Edna was a farm wife who loved spending time with her family, cooking and gardening. During W.W. II she welded bomb bodies and taught her sons to weld. She also enjoyed crocheting and always put her family first. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. Sunday, November 30, 2014, at the Kirgan Funeral Home in Barry. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 1, 2014, at the Kirgan Funeral Home in Barry. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery in Barry. Memorials are suggested to the Barry Community Care Center activity fund.
