Obituary for A. Lucille (Sis) Bonifield
Mrs. A. Lucille (Sis) Bonifield, 102, of Sunset Home in Quincy, formerly of Kinderhook, Illinois, passed away at 8:00 a.m. Saturday, December 26, 2015, at Sunset Home in Quincy. She was born April 10, 1913, in Hull, to George & Luella (Smith) Weir. They preceded her in death. She married Russell (Bill) Bonifield on April 15, 1933, in Pittsfield, Illinois. He preceded her in death on May 14, 2003. She is survived by 1 son Lowell (Sonny) Bonifield of Lubbock, Texas; 1 daughter Wanda Cecile Gash, husband Don, of Quincy, Illinois; 4 grandsons, Byron Bonifield of Hannibal, Missouri; Von Bonifield of Hannibal, Missouri; Mitch Bonifield, wife Debbie, of Hannibal, Missouri; and Michael Gash, wife Diane of Quincy, Illinois; 1 granddaughter Kimberly (Missy) Pennewell, husband Butch, of Monroe City, Missouri; 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Lucille was the last of her family. Lucille had been employed by the former Holiday Inn in Quincy for several years. She also helped with the farming. She was a member of the Hull United Methodist Church. In her younger years she was active in Church affairs. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2015, at the Kirgan Funeral Home in Barry. Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2015, at the Kinderhook Cemetery, Kinderhook, Illinois. Burial will be in Kinderhook Cemetery, Kinderhook, Illinois. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
