Mrs. Lorene Martha Kline, 93, of rural Barry, IL, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.
She was born September 13, 1927, in Lutherville, AR, to Henry & Anna (Frickey) Doepel. They preceded her in death.
She married Forest Ray Kline, on December 24, 1949, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Neelyville. He preceded her in death on May 6, 2008.
She is survived by 3 daughters, Pamela Hedges, husband Motley, of Richland, WA, Jackie Mosley, of Lansing, IL, & Jodie Mauck, husband Jody, of Plainville, IL, 1 son David Kline, wife Vikki, of Quincy, IL. , 12 grandchildren, Amanda Kissire, husband Tracy, of Richland, WA, Paul Hedges, of Richland, WA, Allison Lawrence, husband A. J., of Hillsboro, OR, Thomas Mosley, of Lansing, IL, Jonathon Mosley, wife Kristian, of Hobart, IN, Tiffani Hanlin, husband Tracy, of Plainville, IL, Amber Perrine, husband Mat, of Payson, IL, Tyson Mauck, wife Kari, of Kathleen, GA, Jarred Mauck, wife Kimberly, of Liberty, IL, Casey Kline, wife Erin, of Chattam, IL, Tanner Kline, of Quincy, IL, & Carter Kline, wife Jennifer, of Kansas City, MO, 22 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild Charlotte Lorene Wolf, of rural Payson, IL, who was born January 18th of this year, making her the 1st of the 5th generation, 4 sisters, Freda Scheer, of California, Irene Tritch of California, Francis Grice of Florida, & Wanda Perry of Arkansas, 1 brother Martin Doepel of Oklahoma, 3 sisters-in-law, Pat Robinson, of Quincy, IL, Freda Doepel, of Arkansas, and Lorraine Doepel, of Arkansas, and numerous nieces & nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband she was also preceded in death by a son-in-law Tony Mosley, 5 brothers, Frank in infancy, Emil, Willie, Herman, and Edwin Doepel, 4 sisters-in-law, Caroline, LaFern, & JoAnn Doepel, and Marjorie Watts, and 7 brothers-in-law, Roy Brown, Don Grice, Earl Scheer, Ralph Tritch, Billy Gibbons, Clarence Perry, & Joe Robinson.
Lorene was a charter member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Pittsfield, member of American Legion Post #222 Auxiliary, and a member of the Farm Bureau.
Lorene and her husband enjoyed traveling by motorcycle and toured all 50 states as well as Mexico & Canada. They were also fortunate to travel the world. She helped her husband farm all of their lives and helped him with their seed corn business. She was the bookkeeper and remained active managing the farm, tending to her grandchildren and was not one to sit still. She put everyone first and was a good friend to all.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, February 6, 2021, at the Lutheran Church of St. John, 3340 State St., Quincy, IL. Family will meet friends from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
Memorials are suggested to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Pittsfield.
