Mrs. Marjorie "Ann" Doran, 82, of Barry, Illinois, passed away at 2:55 p.m. Monday, November 6, 2017, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy.
She was born October 11, 1935, in Peoria, Illinois, to Harry E. & Frances B. (Boston) Hess. They preceded her in death.
She married Norman "Red" Doran on August 6, 1954, in Hannibal, Missouri. He survives in Barry.
In addition to her husband she is survived by 1 daughter Cindy Mierzwa of Jacksonville, Ill.; 1 daughter-in-law Patty Doran of Barry, Ill.; 2 granddaughters, Michelle A. Coffey, husband, Charles, of Pittsfield, Ill; and Amelia Mierzwa of Alton, Ill.; 2 grandsons, Robert Doran of Barry, Ill.; and Stefan Mierzwa, wife Kelsey, of Jacksonville, Ill.; and 2 great grandsons, Jordan and Jonathan Coffey of Pittsfield, Ill.
She was preceded in death by 1 son Edward "Eddie" Doran.
Ann was retired from the Barry Community Care Center. She worked part-time in the office of The Paper in Barry. She enjoyed playing bridge with her friends.
Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, November 9, 2017, at the Kirgan Funeral Home in Barry.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 10, 2017, at the Kirgan Funeral Home in Barry.
Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery in Barry.
Memorials are suggested to the Barry Fire Department First Responders or the Barry United Methodist Church.
