Obituary for Marjorie J. Hall
Mrs. Marjorie J. Hall, 94, of Quincy, formerly of Barry, passed away at 8:12 am. Friday, April 29, 2016, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Mt. Sterling, Illinois.
She was born April 3, 1922, in El Dara, Illinois, to Cicero & Mae (Kramer) Lee. They preceded her in death.
She married Loraine Myers on August 6, 1938, in Hannibal, Missouri. He died October 8, 1972.
She then married Dallas Hall on May 20, 1974, in El Dara, Illinois. He died May 2, 2002.
She is survived by 2 sons - David Myers, wife Debra, of Hannibal, Missouri and Thomas Myers, wife Sherry, of Payson, Illinois; and 1 daughter - Bonnie Jeffers, of New Canton, Illinois.
She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son James Myers, a daughter Diana Lynch, 3 brothers, Bob Lee, Bud Lee and Floyd "Fat" Lee and 4 sisters, Edna Quick, Lois Daniels, Rena Parrick and Mazie Myers.
Marjorie was a member of the El Dara Christian Church where she played the piano and taught Sunday School for many years. She was a cook at the El Dara Grade School and later worked at Howards Grocery Store in Barry. She had also worked as a telephone operator in El Dara and meal site coordinator for the New Canton Meal Site. She was well known for her noodles and pies and was loved by all.
Visitation will be from10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 5, 2016, at the El Dara Christian Church in El Dara.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 5, 2016, at the El Dara Christian Church in El Dara.
Burial will be in Taylor-Martin Cemetery in El Dara.
