Mrs. Mary Lee Lister, 92, of Barry, IL, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2024, at Hannibal Regional Hospital, in Hannibal, MO.
She was born January 14, 1932, in Barry, IL, to Glenn & Lillian (Robb) Crump. They preceded her in death.
She married Harold L. Lister on August 20, 1950, in Barry, IL. He preceded her in death on May 21, 2009.
She is survived by 3 sons, Craig & wife Myrna Lister, Bob & wife Ginny Lister, and John & wife Rosette Lister all of Barry, IL, 10 grandchildren, Lindsey (Aaron) Stephens, Kendall (Eric) Bouche, Peter (Erin) Lister, Glen (Jessica) Lister, Adam (Abby) Lister, Brian Lister (Tori), Kelly (Ben) Schellman, Megan (Justin) Wilson, Clayton (Jennifer) Lister, and Jaime Lister, 24 great grandchildren, Emma, Ali, Eban, Ava, & Matthew Stephens, Calvin & Colbie Bouche, Layton & Lennox Lister, Landry, Bennett, Tucker & Kallan Schellman, Ollie, Henry & Caroline Wilson, Charlene, Eric, Matthew, Max & Hudson Lister, Jacqueline, Johnny, and 1 on the way Lister, and Theo Malaney, 1 brother Dick (Dixie) Crump, and 16 nephews & nieces.
In addition to her parents and her husband Harold, she was also preceded in death by her brother Bill and sister-in-law Carol Crump, her in-laws Elmer & Alice Lister, brother-in-law Sonny & wife Harriet Lister, brother-in-law Paul & wife Donna Lister, and brother-in-law Robert Lister.
Mary Lee graduated from Barry High School in 1949. She could play cut throat Kiser Creek pitch against the best pitch players in the world or less competitive cards with the grandkids. She was a big St. Louis Cardinals and Illini fan.
There is no visitation.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Park Lawn Cemetery in Barry.
Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery in Barry.
Memorials are suggested to the Barry American Legion Flag Fund or the Barry United Methodist Church.
Kirgan Funeral Home in Barry is in charge of arrangements.
