Obituary for Mrs. Anna Imogene Rickey Killgore
Mrs. Anna Imogene Rickey Killgore, 92, of Carmichael, California, formerly of Hull, died at 1:10 p.m. Sunday, February 19, 2012, in Mercy San Juan Hospital in Carmichael. She was born September 11, 1919, a daughter of Howard A. Spalding & Anna L. Schwartz. They preceded her in death. She was first married to Charles M. Rickey. She moved to California 58 years ago & later married Eugene V. Killgore in 1966. She is survived by a daughter, Donna Jean Koeller (Russell), of New Canton; 3 grandsons - Bryan (Kim) Koeller and Gavin Koeller both of New Canton and Kris (Deanna) Koeller of Hull; 8 great grandchildren - Clark, Hannah, Dawson, Aidan, Jayce, Alyssa, Max and Preston Koeller. She is also survived by a brother, Howard Spalding (Starr) of Yuba City, California and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her extended family at Atria El Camino Gardens, Carmichael, California where she resided for 11 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands and 3 brothers, Russell A., Milton B. & Thomas Lamar Spalding. Anna graduated from Hull High School in 1937. During W.W. II she worked as a bomb inspector in Illinois, Texas, Pennsylvania and Southern Californa. Anna was a Life Member of VFW Auxiliary Post 6158 serving as Chaplin & a longtime volunteer for the Hospital Guild at Mercy Healthcare in Sacramento with over 2500 hours service. She loved music & playing the piano, sewing and cats & dogs. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 11, 2012, in Shearer Cemetery, New Canton, Illinois. Memorials may be made to Shearer Cemetery Flag Fund.
