Nedla Elizabeth Hazelrigg Liggett, 56, passed away Monday, August 15, 2016, in her home in Quincy, Illinois.
She was born December 30, 1959, in Pittsfield, the daughter of Alden and Carol "Kelly" (McNeill) Hazelrigg.
She is survived by 3 children; Whitney (Jon) Brandenburg of Sherman, Illinois, Mariah Liggett of Payson, Illinois, and Zachariah Liggett of Quincy, Illinois; her mother Kelly Syrcle of Barry, 3 brothers, Wayne (Debbie), Rick (Rhonda) and Chuck (Paula Uppinghouse) Hazelrigg; 2 grandchildren, Brooklyn Liggett and Jonas Brandenburg; 2 step-brothers, Reggie (Susan) and Richard (Linda) Syrcle; 2 nephews, Charlie (Joni) and Mathew (Maggie) Hazelrigg; a great-nephew Cayden Hazelrigg; a great-niece Chloe Hazelrigg; 2 aunts Wathena Stover and Judy (Jay) Harvey; 3 cousins Doug Stover, Brian Stover, and Scott Harvey, sister-in-law Barbara (Jim) Carter and their children, 2 step-nephews, Jason (Jennifer) Syrcle and Robert (Deanna) Irvin; 2 step-nieces, Stacy (Steve) Ameran and Allison Bush and their children; also several cousins, nieces and nephews; and her uncles, Virgil (Maxine) McNeill and Mike (Barbara) Sanders and their children.
She was preceded in death by her father Alden Hazelrigg, a nephew Joshua Hazelrigg, her maternal grandparents Dwight (Jewell) Sanders and Malcolm McNeill, and her paternal grandparents Charles (Marjorie) Hazelrigg.
She grew up in Barry, Illinois. After graduating from high school, she attended college in Quincy. She lived in Springfield, Illinois for many years and worked as a mortgage broker. She enjoyed making people's dreams of owning a home come true. She moved to Plainville, Illinois, in 2011 and was employed by First Bankers Trust in Quincy, Illinois.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 20, 2016, at the Kirgan Funeral Home in Barry.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 20, 2016, at the Kirgan Funeral Home in Barry.
Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery in Barry.
Memorials are suggested to the Autism Society of Central Illinois.
