Obituary for Woodrow "Woody" Kurtz, Jr.
Mr. Woodrow "Woody" Kurtz, Jr., 71, of Hull, Illinois, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2019, at his home.
He was born November 18, 1947, to Woodrow, Sr. & Iva (McNary) Kurtz. They preceded him in death.
He is survived by 2 sisters, Mary Blackorby of Hannibal, Mo. and Kathryn Sydney of Spring Hill, Fla., 13 nieces & nephews and Woody's good friend Cheryl Niffen.
In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by 3 sisters, Elcy Smith, Charlotte Moyer and Sue Loos.
Woody served in the Army and was stationed in Germany. He was a very kind and generous guy who loved his home in Hull and was well known by his many friends. He was quick to lend a helping hand to anyone.
There is no visitation.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at Park Lawn Cemetery in Barry.
