Mrs. Kathleen C. "Kathy" (Morrow) Reynolds, 80, of Barry, IL, passed away Saturday, November 7, 2020, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL, from complications due to COVID.
She was born April 18,1940, in Rockport, IL, one of 13 children, to Joseph Eugene & Sarah Harriet (Howland) Morrow, of Rockport.
She married Allan L. Reynolds on July 30, 1965, in Barry, IL. He survives in Barry.
In addition to her husband Allan, she is also survived by her children, Millie (Bill) Powell, of Frankfort, MO, Jeff (Amanda) Reynolds, of Shipman, IL, Roger (Chano) Reynolds, of Hannibal, MO, and Sarah Reynolds, of Quincy, IL, Grandchildren, Genia (Rich) Calvin, Michele (Aaron) Dyer, Amy (Justin) Barks, Elisha (Mikey) Bechtold, Jameson, Joshua & Jason Reynolds, Chris (Amy) Reynolds, Charlene Purtle, Kelsey (Rob) Ryan and Brett Wellman, currently serving in USMC, Great Grandchildren, Halee, Trenton, Jace & Lacy Calvin, Charlie Dyer, Ethan Reynolds, Zack Krumwiede, Christine Proctor, Averick, Adeline & Asher, sisters, Barbara Robinson of Louisiana, MO, Minnie Cooper of Meredosia, Sally Cramm of Mendon, Judy Hinch of Barry, and Rosemary Smith of Barry, sister-in-law Shirley Morrow of St. Charles, Mo, brother-in-law Bob Smith of Barry, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter Sherry Oppy, siblings Nancy in infancy, Bill Morrow, Jo Morrow, Richard Morrow, Erma Claus, Wilbur Morrow, and Bernice Grimsley, sisters-in-law Linda Morrow, and Velda Morrow Blackorby, and brothers-in-law Danny Robinson, Bruce Cooper, Dwayne Cramm, and Gary Hinch.
Kathy lived in the same home from the time she was married until her death. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Barry. She loved her community and volunteered at the Barry Food Pantry. Kathy loved to cook and care for her family. She loved the Red Hats Ladies group and dressed up in red & purple every chance she could. She had many and various awards for her work with the Boy Scouts & Girl Scouts. Kathy made many floats for the Barry Apple Festival Parade and she had been honored as Barry Apple Festival Parade Marshall.
There is no visitation.
Private Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 14, 2020, at Samuel Taylor Cemetery in Rockport.
Burial will be in Samuel Taylor Cemetery in Rockport.
Memorials are suggested to the Barry Food Pantry or the First Christian Church of Barry.
